March 1, 2024 – Vanguards of eloquence, justice, and liberty from the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) mark history as they conduct the first-ever SAS Festival at the Campus Grounds of Isabela State University Cauayan-City Campus on February 29, 2024, bannering with the theme, “SAS Fest: Fellowship, Excitement, & Social Togetherness.”
Faculty, student leaders, and students from their respective groups paraded the campus with festivity, followed by SAS Dean Paul Angelo Tamayo with his opening remarks, emphasizing the significance of the first-ever fest’ since the separation of Criminology from SAS.
Various groups, named after local mythological beings, then showed their competitive spirit with yells representing their groups.
For the morning portion of the fest, SAS students joined various Pinoy games, namely Message Relay, Tumbang Preso, Luksong Tinik, Pinoy Henyo, Tug of War, Sack Race, Chinese Garter, and Pahabaan ng Gamit.
The celebration then continued with the SAS Got Talent, showcasing the artistic and musical talents of the students, and ended with a game of bingo and raffle draw, which gifted cash prizes, grocery packages, and sacks of rice to the lucky winners.
Musical talents from SAS added symphony to the event as it went, performing OPM and hit songs to amp up the excitement.
